Sensorium and The Sensory Room

Turns out Quito has an amazing Sensory Integration Center! We’ve decided to use it for inspiration to build a sensory room at our school. We’re also going to partner with this center to for our students to attend sessions. We’re finding quite a few of our PreK-2 graders are struggling with the proprioception, vestibular systems, and overall tactile needs. I’m excited to learn about these needs in our younger students, design this new space, and develop interventions!
