No One Eats Alone

A lot of my students really did a great job socializing at the beginning of the year. Alas, being friends with the kid that’s “different” seems to have worn off by Semester 2. In order to re-inspire middle school students to go out of their way and think about other kid (hard enough task!) I partnered up with the MS Student Council to start a No One Eats Alone day. We’re hoping to role it out at least once a month. The goal is to encourage students to find someone new to sit with, play games together, and take lunch time a little less seriously. The first go at it was a success! One of my students told me, “This was the best day ever!”
