Literacy Week Guest Reading

After discovering Johnny's love for public speaking at Thanksgiving, I’ve been trying to find more opportunities for him to get in front of a group of people. When we reviewed his goals at the semester we talked about continuing to work on volume and intonation when reading and speaking to others. So during literacy week we volunteered as Guest Readers in the third and fourth grade classrooms. We talked to the teachers to see what unit they were working on and then found poems to practice. He loved reading for the students and calling on them to answer questions he had designed. I love moments like that shared with him, but I’m excited to see him fly solo next year.
