When Student becomes Teacher...

Our students have become just like teachers - they keep getting asked to do things last minute that require planning. We're used to it and so are they now.

Most recently our students were asked to lead a workshop during our school's Fine Arts Festival. They quickly chose a "Culinary Arts" workshop and taught middle school students how to make Brigaderos, a Brazilian dessert. They didn't only find a recipe, pick up ingredients, and get to it...they decided to also make a trivia game to keep students entertained while the ingredients were cooling in the fridge. The entire workshop was 100% student led while the proud teachers took pictures. I think you can see some pride in these smiles.
